Vasilis Laderos, winemaker of Idaia Gi winery is proudly dedicated to the production of outstanding hand-crafted, terroir-driven wines made mostly from autochthonous Cretan varieties. He carries on the unique heritage and tradition of the Dafnes region in Crete, crafting wines from several different areas, thus highlighting different aspects of this breathtaking, limestone-based, terroir. The wines deeply express their noble Mediterranean provenance being hearty, rich and softly textured, yet always with a fresh element that delivers an overall fine balance. Vilana is fresh and mineral, a top expression of Crete’s most planted grape, while the Vidiano is a finely-textured, velvety example of Crete’s starvariety. The classic Kotsifali-Mandilari blend is a delicious, smooth red wine with depth of fruit and solid ageing potential
