Muses Estate
Taking over from their father Athanasios, Nikos, Stelios and Panayiotis are now the third generation of their family to work this historical land, where wine has been cultivated for millennia. It was their grandfather Nikolaos who in 1946 established a wine-making operation in the village of Askri, planting vineyards in the valley of Muses, on the slopes of Mount Helicon. The small winemaking business was gradually transformed into a brilliant estate that consistently produces wines that reflect their region and focus mostly on indigenous grape varieties. Their star variety, the local Mouchtaro, is a unique grape crafting deeply coloured, hedonistic wines with polished structure. Other varieties such as Savatiano, Malagousia, Assyrtiko and the international Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah contribute to an exciting portfolio of wines made with the utmost care both in the winery and the vineyards.
