Gavalas Winery

George Gavalas heads the Gavalas winery located in Megalochori, Greece with fifth-generation Vangelis Gavalas also on board now. The vineyards are spread throughout the villages of Megalochori, Akrotiri and Emporeio trained in the traditional kouloura (basket) system. The family has made a particular effort to bring rare varieties to life, such as Katsano and Voudomato, but their classic blue bottle Santorini has always been a Santorini benchmark. With long tradition, the winery focuses only on quality, with varieties, areas and particular parcels vinified separately.
